Marfa Gallery

Marfa Gallery is a dynamic, contemporary cultural arts space where varied perspectives and issues are explored through visual arts, film, music, and performance and located within the heart of the Victoria’s arts precinct, Abbotsford.

As an advocate for the freedom of artistic expression, Marfa’s mission is to serve international, national, regional, and local arts communities and support the work of both emerging and recognised independent artists working in all media.

With a gallery floor space of approximately 200m2, Marfa Gallery is particularly interested in helping artists and curators achieve projects that have a significant cultural impact but would be more difficult to realise in a traditional gallery or museum setting.

Studios

Our collective studio mission is to provide an environment that allows artist to connect and grow in an intensely fought after landscape, we focus on achieving this through continuous connection and mindful consideration, providing obtainable access and outlets for expression for all artists at the forefront of a battleground that is the persistent pushing of arts further away from the states city center.

Venue / Events

Marfa gallery has a dynamic and innovative cultural presence, and offers itself as a venue that can be utilised for photo shoot's, meetings, charity fundraising and exhibition events.

The gallery can accommodate for function numbers ranging from up to 85 guests. An added feature when holding a function at the gallery is the opportunity to arrange a speaker to provide an insight into the artworks on display alternatively private showings can also be arranged.
